What is Counselling?
Counselling is a confidential 'talking therapy' which enables you to explore anxieties and concerns in a safe, neutral environment with someone who is trained to work with many complex and diverse issues.
This support enables couples and individuals to work through difficulites, explore options and reach solutions or make changes that are right for them.
A counselling session lasts for one hour, usually on a weekly basis. Over the period of counselling, clients usually find they have been able to develop a greater understanding of the problem, its causes and explore options.
Often the fact that time has been set aside, the problems feel heard and not judged enables a greater capacity for dealing with the difficulites and every day life even during the period of counselling.
